New pet...

It has been about 3 weeks now that we have had a Mourning Dove that has made a home in our backyard. It has made a little nest within the vines on top of the arbor. He often sits out on the edge of the arbor and watches the activity through our living room window....from where the picture was taken. Of course, our cat, Harry, is loving every glimpse of this creature!

My first 5K

I had such a great time participating in a 5K a few weekends ago. It was such a rush to be back out running in a competitive mode, although the race was for a good cause. I really enjoyed the 3.1 mile course and look forward to future races. All those morning jogs have paid off. I think I may have found a new hobby! : )
The most enjoyable moment was getting congratulated by Samuel with a big hug, who was so excited to see his Mommy cross the finish line!
