Nana & Papa's Visit

We had so much fun taking our Nana & Papa to Muir Woods when they were here. We got up early, packed our lunch, and headed out for our journey. We spent most of the later part of the morning and into the afternoon walking through the "forest of big trees". (as described by Sam)

Ethan turns 2

Our little baby boy who graced us with his presence two years ago on August 31st just celebrated his birthday! As Greg and I thought about the past 2 years of Ethan's life, we are so thankful for all the ways God has blessed our little man! He has the love of a big brother who is truly his best friend. Samuel & Ethan are almost inseparable these days. We often imagine the future and see them being best buddies as they grow up together.

He has a Mommy & a Daddy who adore him and love to hear him laugh, which always brings a smile to our faces.

We were so happy to be able to celebrate his birthday a bit early so that we could include Nana & Papa at his party while they were here visiting. Ethan had so much fun playing at the park , eating cupcakes and a big make your own ice cream sundae!

How quickly time flies.....

It is hard to believe that almost a month has gone by since my last post. This summer has been very busy keeping the boys occupied with lots of activities: many trips to the park, swimming, getting Sam ready for preschool, and trying to keep cool with the high temps.

It is amazing to me that at the end of this month, Ethan will be 2 years old, and Sam will be headed into his first year of school. Those mothers of older children who always tell the new moms to truly appreciate all the little moments with your children are so right....time does pass so quickly!
