** A few pics of our new house above-not a lot of pics on walls yet...paint colors are growing on me. :) Also, a few pics of the boys when we were visiting Colonial Williamsburg.
It has been the longest and busiest summer we could have imagined. To give you a little idea of what we have been up to these past few months...
June -
* Sam finished his 1st year of preschool * Ethan finished his last year of Busy Bees * Greg finished residency and GRADUATED!! * We took two last trips to Napa to stock up on that great CA wine * I finished serving on the steering team for MOPS * We cleaned, painted, packed.
July -
* We said our very tearful goodbyes to dear friends in CA * watched our belongings be loaded onto a moving truck * shipped a vehicle across country * flew from Sacramento to D.C. * "camped out" in our new house until our things came a week later * unpacked the whole house * enrolled boys into school * had both sets of grandparents for a visit * Greg started new job.
August -
* celebrated our 10th anniversary * drove to Cape Cod for a family vacation with Greg's family * about to celebrate Ethan's 3rd birthday * and now waiting for school to start.
Life is now beginning to slow down to a more normal pace, although school will be starting in a few more weeks. The boys are SO anxious to meet some friends and for more of a routine. Greg is doing well in his new job at Langley AFB. He is actually quite busy, but we are so grateful to finally have more normal family hours.
I am definitely ready for a routine. (yes, that is so my personality!) I am planning on joining a group called Mom2Mom, similar to MOPS. I will also be involved in a Bible Study once school is under way. I am definitely missing my friends back in CA, but I do know that God is faithful and will provide friendships here in VA.
